Course Content

Cardiology
Master cardiac physiology — preload/afterload, pressure–volume loops, murmurs. Integrate with ECG interpretation, valvular lesions, and pharmacology (beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, anti-arrhythmics). Emphasize pathophysiology links with hypertension and heart failure.

Endocrinology
Focus on hormone feedback loops and endocrine pathology (thyroid, adrenal, pituitary). Link pharmacology (insulin, steroids, antithyroid meds) with mechanisms of action. Practice clinical correlations — DKA vs HHS, Cushing vs Addison.

Renal
Understand nephron physiology and acid-base regulation. Review nephritic vs nephrotic syndromes, diuretic mechanisms, and electrolyte imbalances. Tie into hypertension management and chronic kidney disease.

Pulmonology
Cover lung volumes, gas exchange, and oxygen dissociation curve. Distinguish obstructive vs restrictive patterns and related diseases (COPD, asthma, fibrosis). Integrate pharmacology of bronchodilators and corticosteroids.

Immunology
Review innate vs adaptive immunity, hypersensitivity types, and complement pathways. Master cytokines and immune cell markers (CDs). Relate immunodeficiencies and autoimmune disorders to real-world examples.

Hematology
RBC disorders (anemias, hemoglobinopathies) and WBC malignancies (leukemias, lymphomas). Review coagulation cascades, platelet disorders, and transfusion medicine. Integrate with oncology pharmacology (chemotherapy side effects).

Musculoskeletal (MSK)
Muscles, bones, and connective tissue — key for anatomy and pathology. Focus on rheumatologic conditions (RA, SLE, gout) and related pharmacology. Remember fracture healing and bone remodeling pathways.

Neurology
Master neuroanatomy localization and neurotransmitter pathways. Learn CNS pharmacology (antiepileptics, antidepressants, antipsychotics). Review demyelinating diseases, strokes, and neurodegenerative disorders.

Gastrointestinal (GIT)
Digestive physiology, absorption, and hepatobiliary system. Pathology: peptic ulcer, IBD, liver disease, gallstones, pancreatic disorders. Pharmacology: PPIs, H2 blockers, laxatives, antiemetics.
